Sometimes life has a funny way of bringing people back together.

Jessica and I actually used to work together at Anytime Fitness. Jessica was a manager, and I worked in marketing. At the time, neither of us could have imagined that years later, I would be photographing her and Ben's engagement session—and eventually their wedding!

But here we are, and honestly, I LOVE how their story came full circle.

From Anytime Fitness to Forever

One day while we were working together at Anytime Fitness, I went into the gym to capture some marketing photos of the staff working away.

Jessica needed someone to join her in a few photos, so she brought in Ben, who was a member at the gym at the time, to be her co-model.

Little did any of us know that this was the beginning of something much bigger!

Jessica and Ben met through Anytime Fitness, and it turned out to be a true match. Ben was clearly drawn to Jessica, the fun and bubbly manager, and the rest is history!

Years later, they found themselves back in front of my camera—but this time, it was for something a little more important than gym marketing photos.

Their engagement session. ❤️

A Pitt Lake Dyke Engagement Session

For Jessica and Ben's engagement photos, we headed out to the Pitt Lake Dyke.

There is a beautiful stretch of road in the area with incredible views of the mountains, making it the perfect backdrop for their session. The scenery was absolutely stunning and gave us that dreamy British Columbia

landscape that makes engagement photos in the Fraser Valley so special.

But then they added something extra.

A friend's classic car.

And WOW.

I was blown away!

The classic car completely transformed the session and added so much personality. It was stylish, fun and felt completely different from a typical engagement shoot.

Between the mountain views, the open road, Jessica and Ben's connection and that incredible car, this session honestly felt like something straight out of a movie.

A Dream Couple, a Dream Location and a Dream Car

Jessica and Ben are one of those couples who are just easy to photograph.

I absolutely love the connection they have together. There is so much fun between them, but also that natural comfort that comes from truly knowing and loving each other.

Those are always my favourite moments to capture.

The laughs.

The looks.

The little moments in between the poses.

And these two gave me plenty of all of it!

The Pitt Lake Dyke was the perfect location for their engagement session, especially with the dramatic mountain views surrounding us. Add in a dreamy classic car, and honestly, I couldn't have asked for much more.

Next Stop: Mountain Sky Estate in Mission

Jessica and Ben's wedding was held at Mountain Sky Estate in Mission, BC.

And as I am writing this blog post, they have actually already had their wedding!

All I can say is...

HOLY MOLY!

You are definitely going to want to see what happened at their wedding.

Their day at Mountain Sky Estate was absolutely incredible, and I cannot wait to share it with you when their wedding blog is published.

Until then, you'll have to enjoy this dreamy Pitt Lake engagement session featuring a dream couple, a dream location and one seriously gorgeous classic car.

Jessica and Ben, thank you for trusting me to capture another chapter of your story. From that random marketing photoshoot at Anytime Fitness years ago to your engagement and wedding photos, it has been so amazing to see where life has taken you both.

Congratulations, you two! ❤️

Athena
