Foggy Morning Magic: Augustina & Brandon’s Pitt Lake Engagement Session
Sometimes the most breathtaking moments happen long before golden hour. Augustina and Brandon’s engagement session at Pitt Lake lookout is proof that early mornings can be just as magical—if not more.
As a Fraser Valley wedding photographer, Pitt Lake is one of my favourite locations for couples who love mountains, adventure, and a little bit of West Coast drama. This session delivered all of that and more.
A Fog-Kissed Start at Pitt Lake Lookout
The first half of Augustina and Brandon’s engagement session began wrapped in thick, dreamy fog. The quiet morning felt cinematic, peaceful, and intimate—like the world had paused just for them. They arrived with their beloved pups, who mean the world to them and absolutely deserved to be part of this special moment.
Including fur babies in an engagement session always adds an extra layer of personality and warmth, and these two pups fit seamlessly into the story of their love.
When the Fog Lifted, the Mountains Appeared
As the session unfolded, the fog slowly burned off, revealing the stunning Pitt Lake mountain range behind them. Watching the landscape transform while photographing Augustina and Brandon was unforgettable. The shifting light, soft tones, and expansive views created the perfect backdrop for their connection.
These two were completely effortless together—laughing, cuddling, and simply being themselves. It’s sessions like this that remind me why I love photographing couples in the Fraser Valley and greater Vancouver area.
A Full-Circle Moment
I’ve been looking forward to photographing Augustina and Brandon ever since I last saw them at their friend’s wedding, which I had the honour of capturing. Getting to reconnect with them for their engagement session felt incredibly special and made the morning even more meaningful.
Counting Down to Their Wedding Day
This was only the first half of their engagement session, and I already know their wedding next year is going to be something truly special. Augustina and Brandon’s love is warm, genuine, and full of joy—and I can’t wait to document the next chapter of their story.
