Some love stories seem destined to happen.

For Morgan and Konner, their story began long before either of them realized it. Growing up, they frequently travelled on the ferries to Vancouver Island, unknowingly crossing paths countless times. Later, during their first year of high school, Konner passed Morgan a simple note. It was a small moment that faded into memory, but years later life brought them back together, proving that some connections are simply meant to be.

Their wedding day at Redwoods Golf Course in Langley was every bit as beautiful as their story.

Getting Ready at Home

The day began at Morgan and Konner's home, where I captured the anticipation and excitement as the girls got ready together. Morgan looked absolutely stunning thanks to the talented David Benjamin, who created a gorgeous hairstyle and look that perfectly complemented her bridal look. Alyssa Nicole Makeup Artistry helped the bridesmaids get wedding-ready, creating soft, timeless looks that fit the day perfectly.

Morgan's vision for the wedding was a colourful garden party theme, and it came together beautifully. Soft pastel tones filled every detail of the day, and each bridesmaid wore a different colour dress. The mix of shades looked incredible together and added so much personality and charm to the wedding party.

When Morgan stepped into her dress, everything came together. It fit her perfectly, and she looked absolutely radiant.

A Perfect Summer Ceremony at Redwoods Golf Course

The weather couldn't have been better. The ceremony took place under bright sunshine with clear skies overhead, creating the perfect setting for Morgan and Konner to say their vows surrounded by family and friends.

Redwoods Golf Course is one of my favourite wedding venues in Langley, and it truly shined on this day. The beautiful grounds, towering trees, and well-maintained gardens provided the perfect backdrop for both the ceremony and portraits.

Relaxed Wedding Portraits Without the Rush

One thing I always recommend to couples is building extra time into their wedding day timeline, and Morgan and Konner did exactly that. By padding their portrait time, we never felt rushed. Instead of racing from location to location, we had plenty of time to capture a variety of portraits while allowing the couple to actually enjoy being together on their wedding day.

Morgan and Konner are incredibly natural in front of the camera. Their connection is effortless, and they simply fit together perfectly. They spent the entire day laughing, joking, and enjoying every moment, which made creating authentic photographs easy.

Their wedding party also brought amazing energy throughout the day and made every portrait session that much more fun.

Thoughtful Reception Details

The reception space was filled with colourful details that carried the garden party theme throughout the evening.

Each table featured a vibrant bouquet designed to match the wedding colours, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere for guests. One of my favourite details was the collection of pastel-coloured Polaroid cameras placed throughout the reception for guests to use.

But the most unique detail of the night was undoubtedly their guestbook.

Instead of a traditional guestbook, Morgan and Konner displayed vinyl records featuring labels with their engagement photos. Guests signed the records throughout the evening, creating a keepsake that was both meaningful and incredibly creative. It was one of the coolest guestbook ideas I've seen at a wedding.

Sneaking Away for Sunset Portraits

Partway through the reception, Morgan changed into a second dress, and we slipped away for a few fun portraits before returning to the celebration.

These quiet moments during the reception often create some of my favourite images from the day. Taking a brief break from the festivities allows couples to slow down, reconnect, and create a few extra memories together before the night continues.

An Unforgettable Dance Floor

As the evening went on, the dance floor came alive. Guests packed the floor and kept the energy high all night long. There was no shortage of laughter, dancing, and celebration as everyone came together to celebrate Morgan and Konner.

I also loved taking some time during the evening to focus on the guests. Rather than creating traditional posed photos, I enjoy capturing couples and families naturally interacting in their own little love bubbles throughout the reception. Those authentic moments often become some of the most meaningful photographs from the day.

A Wonderful Day at Redwoods Golf Course

Morgan and Konner's wedding was the perfect combination of thoughtful details, beautiful styling, meaningful moments, and an incredible group of people.

A special shoutout goes to the team at Redwoods Golf Course. The venue looked amazing, the food was fantastic, and the staff did an exceptional job throughout the day. It's easy to see why Redwoods Golf Course remains one of the most popular wedding venues in Langley.

Morgan and Konner, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was such an honour to document this chapter of your story, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
