Sarah and Mark’s Abbotsford micro wedding was such a joy to be part of. Their love story is one of those that makes you believe in fate. Sarah met Mark while visiting her brother, who was travelling overseas, and even though miles and time zones separated them, they made it work. I just love that reminder that your soulmate might not be in your neighbourhood—sometimes love finds you in the most unexpected corners of the world.
Their wedding day was so perfectly them—laid-back, fun, and full of heart.
Micro weddings are quickly becoming one of my favourite parts of this wedding season. There’s something so special about keeping things intimate, being surrounded by just your closest people, and focusing on what matters most. Sarah and Mark’s day captured all of that beautifully.
One of the absolute highlights for me was their sweet pup, Sophie. She was such a little star and brought so much extra love to the day.
We started things off with a first look at Ellwood Park in Abbotsford. The park gave us the most beautiful backdrop as we wandered around capturing portraits, laughing, and soaking it all in. To change things up, we popped into SnL for some fun bar photos, and of course, Sarah and Mark enjoyed a beer before the big moment—it was such a relaxed, genuine way to pause and breathe before the ceremony.
They said “I do” in the backyard of a private residence, surrounded by family and friends who clearly adore them. I loved chatting with the guests and hearing little stories about the couple—it’s such a gift to get to know the people who mean the most to my couples.
The details of the day were just as beautiful as the people. The reception was catered by Elaine’s in Mission, and the food was seriously incredible—everyone was talking about it. The florals by Rookie Blooms were coloruful, playful, and such a perfect fit for the vibe of the day. Everything came together in the most effortless, joyful way.
Sarah and Mark, thank you so much for inviting me into your wedding day and trusting me to capture it all. Your love, your laughter, and the way you include Sophie in everything truly warmed my heart. I wish you both nothing but the very best as you begin this new chapter together—you deserve all the happiness in the world.
