Their session at Clearbrook Library was everything you dream of when it comes to cherry blossom season: soft light, full blooms, and a couple completely in love.
A Perfect Spring Weekend Among the Cherry Blossoms
Cherry blossom season is fleeting — it comes and goes in what feels like the blink of an eye. Timing is everything, and we truly lucked out. Sophia and Connor’s session landed on one of the most beautiful spring weekends in April, right when the blossoms were in full bloom.
The trees were absolutely majestic. Rows of soft pink blossoms created the most romantic backdrop, with petals gently falling and lining the ground. It’s one of those scenes that feels straight out of a movie — and it made for the dreamiest engagement photos.
Why I Love This Abbotsford Cherry Blossom Location
One of the best parts about this session was the location. While many popular cherry blossom spots are closer to Vancouver, that often means longer travel times and busier shoot days.

From Nervous to Natural: A First Photo Session
This was my first time meeting Sophia and Connor, and it was also their very first professional photo session together. These are always some of my favourite sessions to photograph.
At the start, like most couples, they were a little nervous and unsure of what to do — which is completely normal. But as we got into the session, something amazing happened.
They relaxed. They laughed. They leaned into each other.
By the end, it didn’t feel like a photoshoot anymore — it felt like a date.
Playful Energy & Natural Chemistry
Sophia and Connor are the kind of couple that just works. Their connection is effortless, playful, and full of genuine joy.
They made each other laugh constantly, moved naturally together, and brought such a fun, light energy to the session. That kind of chemistry can’t be forced — and it always shines through in photos.
And Sophia looked absolutely stunning — her dress flowed beautifully against the soft pink blossoms, and everything about the styling came together perfectly. Connor matched her energy so well, bringing a calm, confident presence that balanced everything out.
Looking Ahead to Their Wedding Day
After spending the evening with these two, I’m even more excited for what’s to come. I can already tell their wedding is going to be filled with laughter, love, and so many unforgettable moments.
